Il titolo di questa prima riflessione introduttiva sulla mia Giulia mi è venuto in mente ricordando un film cult di Francesco Nuti.
Per l’appunto. “Io, Chiara e lo scuro”.
In quella pellicola del 1982 Nuti raggiunse l’apice del successo come attore, prima di cimentarsi anche come regista.
Io Chiara e lo Scuro è una commedia particolare, con un’atmosfera rarefatta e molti interni (il che non stupisce, basandosi chiaramente sulle sale da biliardo). Un quadro intimo ed autobiografico, in cui i sorrisi di Nuti (tra l’altro discreto giocatore di biliardo, che dedicò poi un bel film anche al padre, piu famoso di lui con le 15 palle…da cui il titolo “il Signor Quindicipalle”…) sono accennati, sarcastici più che comici.
Non c’entra naturalmente il sarcasmo con la mia Alfa, ma il cielo grigio, la pioggia, l’atmosfera di tensione ed attenzione all’avvicinarsi (tipica dei primi incontri di post COVID19, del vorrei ma non posso, del non toccarsi, del passarsi vicino senza sfiorarsi, come ladri…) mi hanno fato pensare appunto a dei momenti come sospesi, non goduti appieno.
E chiaramente, tutte le bellissime Alfa presenti sono “le altre”, mentre la mia Giulia era la protagonista….almeno per me.
Mi sono recentemente iscritto al gruppo FACEBOOK degli Alfisti d’Irlanda e questo era il primo incontro, dopo scambi di foto, di articoli, di sfottò (alle Audi e BMW di solito), di opinioni sulla nostra passione comune.
Per me è la prima Alfa, un novizio in mezzo a tanti Alfisti innamorati che ne hanno avute diverse, o financhè ancora le posseggono!
Ciascuno di loro ha fatto, come me, il giro delle nostre meravigliose creature ammirando motori, interni, carrozzeria.
E’ stato intrigante vedere GTV, GT (tra cui una plurielaborata ed anche alleggerita dei sedili posteriori da un Croato maniaco dei motori, che si firma “Cuore Sportivo”), 159.
Tutte molto ben tenute e con un elegante sportività come le Alfa di ogni periodo possiedono.
Mancavano molti degli Alfisti del gruppo, soprattutto i tanti fuori da Dublino, anche se Adam si è fatto quasi 200km per incontrarci.
C’era come un minimo comune denominatore tra di noi, si respirava un’aria di famiglia o, meglio, di cospiratori o di società segreta per come ci parlavamo, per come guardavamo i nostri eleganti esempi di design Italiano.
E poi c’era una mitica 75 del 1989, importata niente di meno che dal Canada ed in splendida forma. La guidava naturalmente un italiano che era giustamente fiero del suo gioiello !
Passione, motori, 1,2,3 .. si gira !
Me, Giulia and the others.
The title of this first introductory reflection on my Giulia came to my mind when I remembered a cult film by Francesco Nuti.
Precisely. “I, Chiara and the dark one”.
In that 1982 film Nuti reached the pinnacle of success as an actor, before venturing also his career as a director.
“Io Chiara e Lo Scuro” is a particular comedy, with a rarefied atmosphere and many filming in the interiors (which is not surprising, clearly based on the pool rooms). An intimate and autobiographical view, in which the smiles of Nuti (among other things, a discreet billiard player, who also dedicated a good film to his father, more famous than Francesco with the 15 balls … hence the title “Mr. Fifteen balls “…) are just outlined, sarcastic rather than comical.
Naturally, sarcasm has nothing to do with my Alfa, but the gray sky, the rain, the atmosphere of tension & attention to approach eachother (typical of the first post COVID19 meetings, of the “I would like but I cannot”, of not touching, of passing close without touching each other, like thieves …) made me think of those moments as suspended, not fully enjoyed.
And of course, all the beautiful Alfa present are “the others”, while my Giulia was the protagonist …. at least for me.
I recently joined the FACEBOOK group of the Irish Alfisti and this was the first meeting, after exchanges of photos, articles, teasing (usually at Audi and BMW owners :-), of opinions on our common passion.
For me it is the first Alfa, a novice in the midst of so many Alfisti in love who have had several, or even still have many of them!
Each of those Alfa passioned has done, like me, the tour of our wonderful creatures admiring engines, interiors, bodywork.
It was intriguing to see some GTV, GT (including a multi-elaborated and also lightened of the rear seats by a Croatian engine freak, who signs himself “Sports Heart_ Cuore Sportivo”), 159.
All cars looked very well maintained and with an elegant sportiness like the Alfa cars of each period have.
Many of the group’s Alfisti were missing, especially the many outside Dublin, even though Adam made almost 200km to meet us.
There was like a “common denominator” among us, a family feeling or, better, an air of conspirators of members of a secret society for the way we spoke to each other, on how we looked at our elegant examples of Italian design
And then there was a legendary 75 from 1989, imported no less than from Canada and in splendid shape. Of course an Italian was driving it (should I say her?) and he was justly proud of his jewel!
